Eddy is a New Orleans resident, with more than twenty years of professional dance experience around the world and has worked with renowned teachers from numerous organizations such as Martha Graham Company, Limon Dance Company and The National Dance Company of Costa Rica. Eddy has also been asked to train with the Alvin Ailey Dance Company and Cirque de Soleil has invited him to participate in their organization. Eddy holds numerous international awards for his work as a Dancer and Choreographer over the years. You can see through his choreography the many influences he has from being a Theatre major, working as a Dance Therapist, to his studies in architecture and other artistic areas. He has been a Teacher of Dance Appreciation at the University of Costa Rica and also a Dance Teacher for NOCCA Riverfront, Jackson Public schools (Power/Apac), NORD/NOBA, University of Southern Mississippi and many others. Eddy has staged numerous productions with the National Dance Company (Costa Rica), Confederacy of Dances, New Orleans Dance Collective, Loyola Ballet and many more. Eddy has also directed choreography for the broadcast of numerous TV shows and international competitions. For more than four years, he was the Artistic Director of EVIGE Dance Company (Costa Rica) and later appeared as a Guest Artist for Lake Charles Ballet Society, Loyola Ballet, Dog and Pony Theater Company, Big Hair Productions, Ballet Mississippi, and many others. Two of his critically acclaimed productions, ELICIT and SEXTET, which premiered in Kansas City, were both brought to the stage in New Orleans by D’PROJECT. Eddy's collaborative 2008 production SOUTHERN VOICES: dance out LOUD was nominated for the Big Easy Award for Best Modern Dance Presentation. Eddy just wrapped the successful run of SOUTHERN VOICES: dance out LOUD 4, nominated for 4 Big Easy Award, including Best Contemporary/Jazz Presentation for his CALIENTE. _______________________________________________________ EDDY TEACHES BALLET CLASSES AT NEW ORLEANS DANCE ACADEMY
