D’PROJECT was founded in 2000 under the creative vision of Eddy Villalta, who possesses an international career as Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher. Over these years, the company has created exciting works that have earned nominations and awards for D’Project and our members. Because of the caliber of our product, we have developed relationships with cultural entities around the state that are eager to work in partnership with D'Project. 

As a result of our efforts, some productions have gained success in other venues around the country, producing an artistic exchange of values between those cities and New Orleans. We encourage collaborations between guest artists and local artists to create works that educate those involved and excite our audiences. As a part of our goals, we integrate our educational component as part of our community outreach program for youth. Members have been making a difference in the city in many aspects of the creative process, from teaching students to choreographing and performing. All D’Project members continue to evolve, crafting an impression on the artistic landscape of Louisiana.
